Obsidian Order

The Rise of the Order

Dating back to the beginning of House Kimura, the Obsidian Order originally started out as a handful of personal guards. While House Kimura’s support was small in the beginning they earned the support of the Auvray family. A family that had always been on the front lines as well as aiding in skirmishes that took place in the territory, providing escorts of caravans as well as important members of the House.

With the aid of Hedran Auvray, the Obsidian Order was created and it’s oath to House Kimura was laid out. Being named the first Commander Hedran appointed his son; Stea Auvray as the Thane.

Even in the beginning the prerequisites were high for all that wished to join, months of training with the Order was needed and even a letter of recommendation. Hedran Auvray was determined to build an Order that would forever stand strong no matter the situation thrown at them. The Order would be the shield and sword, the hounds ready to attack when ordered.

Before becoming an actual member of the Order all were to take an oath to the house.

The Oath to the House

I solemnly swear to stand before those of the Golden Dragon,
My weapon, a testament to your might, its teeth bared in perpetual loyalty.
My shield shall not only protect our Leader but also their kin,
Facing your enemies with unyielding courage, free from fear.

In the darkest of times, I shall embody bravery's unwavering light
Speaking the truth, even if its echo leads me to the embrace of death.
I pledge to safeguard your people and allies, placing the Golden Dragons first,
Their well-being, a sacred charge that I carry with honor and devotion.

If one would ever go against the oath they were to be beheaded, the Order wouldn’t let oath breakers exist in their ranks.
